1. Introduction

Welcome to GharKhoj ("we", "our", or "us"). GharKhoj is a platform designed to help users in Nepal discover, list, and connect for rooms, flats, apartments, hostels, and shared accommodations.

By accessing or using the GharKhoj Android application ("App"), you agree to comply with these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree with these Terms, you must discontinue use of the App immediately.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use GharKhoj.

By using the App, you confirm that:

• You are legally capable of entering into a binding agreement.
• The information you provide is accurate and truthful.
• You will use the App in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

3. User Accounts

Users may create accounts using supported authentication methods including phone number or email authentication.

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• All activities performed through your account.
• Keeping your information updated and accurate.

GharKhoj reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in suspicious activity.

4. Listings & User Content

Users may upload room listings, photos, videos, descriptions, prices, amenities, and related content.

By posting content on GharKhoj, you:

• Confirm that you own or have permission to use the content.
• Grant GharKhoj a non-exclusive license to display and distribute the content within the App.
• Accept responsibility for the accuracy of your listings.

You agree NOT to:

• Post fake, misleading, or fraudulent listings.
• Upload illegal, abusive, offensive, or copyrighted content without authorization.
• Share sensitive personal information publicly.
• Use misleading pricing or deceptive descriptions.

GharKhoj may remove listings or content that violate these Terms without prior notice.

5. Platform Role Disclaimer

GharKhoj acts solely as a platform connecting tenants, roommates, and property owners.

We:

• Do not own, verify, inspect, or guarantee listed properties.
• Are not responsible for agreements, payments, deposits, disputes, scams, or user interactions.
• Do not guarantee room availability, accuracy, or suitability.

Users are solely responsible for verifying room details and conducting transactions safely.

6. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the App for illegal activities.
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users.
• Send spam, scams, or misleading messages.
• Attempt unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data.
• Interfere with App functionality or security.

Violation of these rules may result in account suspension or permanent removal.

7. Messaging & Communication

GharKhoj may provide chat or messaging features between users.

Users are responsible for:

• Their own conversations and interactions.
• Avoiding harassment, fraud, or abusive behavior.

GharKhoj may monitor reports, abuse complaints, and suspicious activities to maintain platform safety.

8. Notifications

The App may send notifications related to:

• Messages and chats
• Room listing activity
• Nearby rooms and recommendations
• Account or security alerts
• Platform updates

Users can manage notification permissions through device settings.

9. Location Services

GharKhoj may use approximate or precise location data to:

• Show nearby rooms
• Improve search relevance
• Display maps and distances

Users may disable location access at any time through device settings, though some features may become limited.

10. Intellectual Property

All App content including branding, logos, design elements, software, and features belong to GharKhoj or its licensors.

Users may not:

• Copy or redistribute App content without permission.
• Reverse engineer or exploit the App.
• Use GharKhoj branding without authorization.

11. Third-Party Services

GharKhoj uses third-party services including:

• Firebase
• Google Maps
• Google Play Services
• Analytics and notification services

These services may operate under their own terms and privacy policies.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate access to the App if users:

• Violate these Terms
• Engage in fraudulent or abusive behavior
• Harm platform security or other users

Termination may occur without prior notice in severe cases.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• GharKhoj is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis.
• We make no guarantees regarding uninterrupted service, accuracy, or reliability.
• GharKhoj shall not be liable for losses, damages, scams, disputes, failed agreements, or indirect damages arising from App usage.

Users use the platform at their own risk.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GharKhoj, its owners, affiliates, and service providers from claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses arising from:

• Your use of the App
• Your listings or uploaded content
• Violations of these Terms
• Disputes with other users

15. Data & Privacy

Your use of GharKhoj is also governed by the GharKhoj Privacy Policy.

By using the App, you consent to the collection and use of information as described in the Privacy Policy.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically.

Updated Terms may be communicated through:

• App notifications
• Platform announcements
• Updated policy pages

Continued use of GharKhoj after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

17. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws applicable in Nepal.
